Love your liver

fruit-veg-heartMany people’s livers take such a bashing over the festive season, with large amounts of rich food, too much alcohol (often followed by a paracetamol or two) and not enough sleep – all of which take their toll on this over-worked organ.
So start the new year by showing your liver a little love by eating plenty of cruciferous veg such as broccoli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage and Brussel sprouts, as well as foods rich in sulphur containing amino acids like onions, garlic and eggs… all of which will support your liver and make its job easier.
